'Detectives of Autumn House' is a novella, placed at the unique

intersection of queer fiction and detective fiction. The protagonists are five LGBTQ detectives: Lira Jackson, Pallavi Jones, Gloria Banerjee, Catherine Khan, and Alice Singh.

The five detectives solve a case related to queer rights violations, and the narrative of this novella is driven forward by mysterious disappearances of authors, fake job offer letters, and intellectual property rights.

The five detectives are helped by Diana Madison and Vidisha who are investigative officers as well as stakeholders in the case.

The narrative also explores romantic love between the protagonists and the obstacles faced by them in their love lives due to conservative socio-legal norms.

The novella is highly layered and fluid and does not follow a clear chronological linearity in its narrative.
